James Sutherland

James Sutherland was born on 31 October 1843 at Findochty, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of George Sutherland and Barbara Thain. His family was known by the tee-name of "Do" or "Doh". James Sutherland was a fisherman and cooper. He married Barbara Anderson at Findochty, Banffshire, Scotland, on 23 October 1864.1 He was the informant for, and present at, George Sutherland's birth at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 20 October 1872.2,3,1 James died on 28 June 1917 at Findochty, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 73.1
