James Smith

     James Smith was born on 22 October 1846. He was the son of William Smith and Ann Sutherland. James Smith was baptized on 2 November 1846 at Parish of Fordyce, Banffshire, Scotland.1,2 He was a fisherman and line fisherman. He married Margaret Innes at Sandend, Banffshire, Scotland, on 1 October 1875.2
He was listed as head of household in the 1921 census at 29 Seafield Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. Those recorded in the household were: James Smith, head; Margaret Smith, wife.3
James died on 1 July 1927 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 80.2
