     Helen Bruce was born on 20 March 1866 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1,2 She was the daughter of William Bruce and Ann Mair. She married James Bruce at Buchanhaven, Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on 12 December 1889.2 Helen died on 8 January 1891 at Buchanhaven, Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at age 24.2
