     Jane Wood was born on 17 October 1900 at Schoolhendry Street, Portsoy, Banffshire, Scotland.1,2 She was the daughter of George Wood and Mary Goodbrand. Her family was known by the tee-name of "Doo". She married Joseph Mair at 54 Castle Street, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on 18 September 1929.3,1 As of 18 September 1929, her married name was Jane Mair. She was the informant for George Wood's death at Portsoy, Banffshire, Scotland, on 28 December 1955.1,2 Jane died on 6 February 1978 at Cottage Hospital, Turriff, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at age 77.1
