Her family was known by the tee-name of "Toper". Catherine was also known as "Kitty Toper." She married James Mair at 19 Union Street, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on 24 December 1915.1,2 As of 24 December 1915, her married name was Catherine Mowat Mair. They was a witness at Clement William Mustard and Catherine Mair's wedding at 54 Castle Street, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on 7 August 1929.4,5,1 Catherine Mowat Findlay died on 20 April 1977 at Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at age 84.1,2
