     Elsie Ritchie Mair was born on 8 September 1902 at 269 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1,2 She was the daughter of Andrew Ritchie Mair and Jane Wood. Her family was known by the tee-name of "Shavie".
She was listed as head of household's daughter in the 1911 census at 443 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. Those recorded in the household were: Andrew R Mair, head; Jean R Mair, wife; Margaret R Mair, daughter; James R Mair, son; Elsie R Mair, daughter; Catherine Mair, daughter.3
She was a witness at James Ritchie Mair and Williamina Mair's wedding at Royal Bank Buildings, Elgin, Moray, Scotland, on 1 March 1928.4,2 She married Robert Reekie at 19 Union Street, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on 15 December 1932.2 As of 15 December 1932, her married name was Elsie Ritchie Reekie. Elsie died in 1992 at Fife, Scotland.2
