     Margaret was born circa 1683.1 She was the daughter of Alexander Cheyne and Jean Urquhart. She married Alexander Reid at Fyvie Parish Church, Fyvie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on 30 August 1716.2 As of 30 August 1716, her married name was Margaret Reid.
