James Findlay

     James Findlay was born circa 1842 at Gardenstown, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of James Findlay and Margaret Findlay. His family was known by the tee-name of "Dockar".2 James Findlay was a fisherman. He married Margaret Gardiner at Seatown, Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland, on 27 January 1865.1,3 He was the informant for, and present at, William Findlay's birth at 127 Seatown, Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland, on 21 October 1875.4 James Findlay was known as "Auld Dockar."2
