He married Louisa Sutherland at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 5 July 1888.2,3 He was the informant for, and present at, Elizabeth Addison's death at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 7 December 1889.4,3 He was the informant for Joseph Addison's birth at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 9 January 1895.5,3
