     Jane Rae was born circa 1831 at Portsoy, Banffshire, Scotland. She was the daughter of James Rae and Margaret McPherson. Jane Rae was a dressmaker. She married William Wilson at Parish of Cullen, Banffshire, Scotland, on 17 October 1850.1 As of 17 October 1850, her married name was Jane Wilson.
