John Watson Mair

John Watson Mair was born on 7 May 1927 at 7 Victoria Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of George Mair and Jessie Ann Mair Findlay. His family was known by the tee-name of "Bobbin". He married Kathleen Sangster at Holburn Central Church, 20 Holburn Street, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on 31 March 1951.1 According to Anne Mair, John Watson Mair was known in the family as "John Watson." John died on 13 May 2016 at age 89.2 He was buried on 24 May 2016.2

MAIR Very suddenly but peacefully on May 13, 2016, at home, John Watson, aged 89 years. A loving husband of the late Kathleen Sangster, an adored dad of Lynda, Alison and Susan, a loved and respected father-in-law, a loving and much loved papa to his grandchildren and great grandchildren and a dear friend to many. Funeral service will be held at Wm Gilchrist Chapel, Old Crematorium, Kaimhill Road, Aberdeen at 11.30, on Tuesday, May 24, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited.
