Elizabeth Pirie

     Elizabeth Pirie was born on 2 August 1890 at 218 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 She was the daughter of John Pirie and Elizabeth Ritchie. Her family was known by the tee-name of "King". Elizabeth Pirie's father, John Pirie, was identified with the tee-name "Buxer" in the 1881 Scottish Census and then with the tee-name "King" in the 1891 Census. "Buxer" was the tee-name of Elizabeth's grandfather's family and "King" was the tee-name of his grandmother's family.
She was listed as head of household's daughter in the 1891 census at 218 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. Those recorded in the household were: John Pirie “King”, (blank); Elizabeth Pirie, wife; Katrine Pirie, daughter; William Pirie, son; Alexander Pirie, son; Elizabeth Pirie, daughter.2

She was listed as head of household's daughter in the 1901 census at 219½ Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. Those recorded in the household were: John Pirie, head; Mary Pirie, wife; Catherine Pirie, daughter; Wm Pirie, son; Alex Pirie, son; Elizabeth Pirie, daughter.3

She was listed as head of household's sister in the 1911 census at 444 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. Those recorded in the household were: William Pirie, head; Johann Pirie, wife; Elizabeth Pirie, daughter; Mary Stella Pirie, daughter; Hellen W. Pirie, daughter; Elizabeth Pirie, sister.4
Elizabeth died on 22 July 1915 at 218 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, at age 24.5,6 Her body was interred on 25 July 1915 at Portknockie, Moray, Scotland, at Lair No. 1537, Hillhead cemetery.7
