     Catharine Mair was born on 14 April 1922 at 14 Harbour Place, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1,2 She was the daughter of William Mair and Catharine Pirie. Her family was known by the tee-name of "Shavie". She married Edmund Knubley Eaves at Deptford, London, England, on 27 November 1943.2,3 As of 27 November 1943, her married name was Catharine Eaves. Catharine Mair was found on a passenger list for August 1946 of the passenger ship 'Letitia'.4 She died on 30 May 2004 at Lakeshore General Hospital, Pointe-Claire, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, at age 82.5,2
