     George Flett was born circa 1908 at Findochty, Banffshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of William Flett and Catherine Wood. His family was known by the tee-name of "Yankie". George Flett was a fisherman. He married Blanche Campbell at The Manse, Findochty, Banffshire, Scotland, on 28 April 1938.2,1 George died on 14 December 1988 at Davidson Hospital, Girvan, Ayrshire, Scotland.2
