     Ann Sutherland was born circa 1846 at Findochty, Banffshire, Scotland.1 She was the daughter of George Sutherland and Barbara Thain. Her family was known by the tee-name of "Do" or "Doh". She married George Wood at Findochty, Banffshire, Scotland, on 22 October 1870.2,1 As of 22 October 1870, her married name was Ann Wood. She married James Anderson at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 7 March 1873.1 As of 7 March 1873, her married name was Ann Anderson.1 Ann died on 10 February 1879 at 19 Great Stuart Street, Edinburgh, Scotland.1,3
