David Pirie

     David Pirie was born illegitimate circa 1857 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. James Pirie was his reputed father. He was the son of James Pirie and Helen Mair. His family was known by the tee-name of "Buxer".
He was listed as head of household's son in the 1861 census at 123 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. Those recorded in the household were: Helen Tait, head; John Tait, son; Helen Tait, daughter; David Perrier (sic), son.1
David Pirie was a fisherman. David died on 16 March 1885 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.2
