     Margaret Ann Pirie was born on 9 September 1876 at Longate Street, Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1,2 She was the daughter of Alexander Pirie and Jessie Cowie. Her family was known by the tee-name of "Buxer".
She was listed as head of household's daughter in the 1881 census at 219 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. Those recorded in the household were: Jessie Cowie or Pirie, wife; Helen Pirie “Buxer”, daughter; Jessie Pirie “Buxer”, daughter; Mag. A. Pirie “Buxer”, daughter; Alexr Pirie “Buxer”, son; William Pirie “Buxer”, son.3

Margaret Ann Pirie and John Runcie were divorced on 12 December 1914.7 She married John Donaldson at 35a Union Street, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on 3 December 1925.8,2 As of 3 December 1925, her married name was Margaret Ann Donaldson. Margaret Ann Pirie died in 1960 at Banff, Banffshire, Scotland.2
