Catharine Mair

     Catharine Mair was born on 30 August 1904 at 323 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1 She was the daughter of John Mair and Elspet Runcie. Her family was known by the tee-name of "Bobbin" or "Bobbin Shy".2 Catherine was known as 'Kitty.' She was a witness at John Mair and Jane Wood's wedding at United Free Church, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 5 December 1924.3,4 She married James Pirie at 2 Commerce Street, Elgin, Moray, Scotland, on 11 March 1926.5,2,6 As of 11 March 1926, her married name was Catherine Pirie. She was the informant for John Pirie's birth at 5 High Street, Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 12 June 1926.4 She was the informant for William Pirie's birth at 12 Springbank Street, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on 25 July 1937.4 Catherine died on 9 February 1980 at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at age 75.4
