     Ann Flett was born circa 1842 at Findochty, Banffshire, Scotland.1 She was the daughter of Alexander Flett and Ann Cowie. She married Francis William Mair at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland, on 16 October 1869.2,3 As of 16 October 1869, her married name was Ann Mair.
She was listed as head of household's wife in the 1881 census at 128 Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland. Those recorded in the household were: Francis Mair, head; Ann Mair, wife; Margaret Mair, daughter; Alexander Mair, son; Ann Mair, daughter; Francis G. Mair, son; John Mair, son; Robert Slater, Nephew; Margaret Ferguson, servant.4
Ann died on 20 June 1886 at Portknockie, Banffshire, Scotland.1
